☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ
gah , had to operate...one of the leaning pachanoi leaned so far that it fell over , luckily didnt bust its arse too badly but decided to slice off the curly root stump , [which was tryna do a U-turn down there or something]...and clean up , which took a whole hour commencing in 30+C[till i had to open windows- i know, how shocking!]....because someone thought it was an excellentidea to build a wall out of all my stuff in front of them....luckily it was pretty much only kitty litter all over the place ....just cant get the fkn staff these days ...upsized a taquimbo to a larger pot ...fed well ...erm... a pereskiopsis that i had almost given up on started sprouting ...better add some pics eh?two of my trichos started looking suspiciously more and more like eachother...perhaps one isn't knuthianus after all? ohcactusisgood
Thankfully my grafting stock rebounded in the last few weeks. So I grafted my boscana "fred" to a piece of panachoi, and some Lophs to panachoi/pereskiopsis. Hopefully will get some growth this season.

zed240
One of my scops got too top heavy for the soft soil it's in. It's also been raining for about 2.5 weeks here.So I stood it back up and stomped the ground down, put a pole up to make sure it didn't fall over again. I might cut it about 30cm from the ground in spring and re-root the fatter part elsewhere and let the stump pup instead of leaving it like this for the longer term. Also pulled out a bunch of weeds from some cactus and sprayed some weeds in amongst the pavers so they won't drop seed into the pots.
Philocacti
My biggest seed grown bridgesii faced the same problem I tried balancing it with rocks until the season is over, but I failed big time. So re-potted it and buried 3rd of it Edited July 19, 2015 by Philocacti
mutant
rocks work wonders when repotting, but when a tricho gets rootbound the roots push the pot and the column leans, rootball slides..
